What uses credits?
A document is a selected file, page, issue, or crawled page, depending on the source. Processing it again can use credits again. The sync price covers the complete processing operation.

Add AI-generated context to document chunks. Optional OCR/image extraction needs the relevant provider configuration.

Check a previously synced document whose content has not changed.

Per GiB per month for uploaded files and extracted images stored by Vector Data Loader.
Credits pay for Vector Data Loader operations. Charges from your embedding provider, vector database, and optional LLM/OCR providers are billed separately by those services.

For example, 100 standard syncs use 2000 credits. A new organization can apply its 250 startup credits, leaving 1750 credits to cover. Your chosen pack may leave a purchased balance for later.
After the startup grant is used, the same workload still consumes 2000 credits. Your next purchase depends on your remaining balance, storage, and re-sync activity.

Common questions
A new organization receives 250 startup credits once. They do not renew monthly. They cover 12 standard syncs before other usage.
Purchased credits stay in your account until used, subject to the account-closure terms. They do not expire each month.
Syncing requires sufficient credits. You can buy top-ups in Settings > Billing; optional auto-recharge can replenish your balance when enabled. Uploaded files and extracted images continue to use billable storage, so review any storage-overdue notice in Billing.
Purchased credits are non-refundable. Use the startup grant to evaluate the product before buying. Review the terms of service for the full purchase and account-closure policy.
The app prepares documents for retrieval and includes a search/chat playground for testing. Connect your own application or compatible tool to the configured vector store to build the customer-facing experience.
